    Unit 10 I’d like some noodles

    Ⅰ.Analysis of the Teaching Material:


    The topic of this unit is about food. In our daily life we sometimes eat out in a restaurant, so it is necessary to know how to order food in a restaurant. To approach this function, some corresponding language structures are provided in this unit, such as would like, what question,etc.


    This lesson mainly covers the first part of section A.


    Ⅱ.Teaching Objectives:


    1. Knowledge and Ability Objectives:


    After learning,students can use the words such as noodles, beef, mutton, chicken, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes correctly.


    By the end of this class, students order food in a stimulated situation by using the following sentence structure:


    A: Hello, I’d like some noodles.


    B: What kind of noodles would you like?


    A: ... noodles, please.


    2. Moral Objectives:


    Student can develop a good behavior in ordering food in a restaurant. They can also get to know how to order food correctly and politely. Beside, it is useful for them the develop a good eating habit after learning this unit.


    3. How to Learn:


    For listening, students are required to grasp the key words, so they can get the answer easily.


    For speaking, students are required to cooperate with partners to use the target language.


    For thinking, students are required to tell weather they and their partners have good eating habits.


    Ⅲ.Key Point and Difficult Point:


    Key point: master the sentence structure.


    Difficult point: the right forms of the nouns.


    Ⅳ.Teaching Procedures:


    1. lead-in:


    Play a video about noodles downloaded from Tik Tok. After watching, Show them some pictures of different kinds of noodles. Teach a new word, noodles. And ask them, Do you like noodles? There are different kinds of noodles in different areas around the world. Then give them1 minute to talk about noodles they know and then share with classmates.


    2. Presentation


    (1) Show students some pictures of vegetables. And teach them these new words, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots. Ask them What kind of vegetables would you like? Help them to answer I would like….. Then give them 2 minutes to practice with their partners.


    (2) Give students some pictures of meat. Teach them new words beef, mutton, chicken. And ask them What kind of meat would you like ? Help them answer I would like….And give them 2minutes to practice the dialogue with their partners.


    (3) Brainstorm: What is your favorite vegetable or meat? Why? Should we eat them more or less?


    (4) What kind of noodles can we make by using these vegetable and meat? Why do you like this kind of noodles?


    (5) Students pick some pictures of vegetables, meat. Let them practice conversations with their partners like this.


    A: What kind of noodles would you like?


    B: I’d like ... noodles.


    A: What kind of noodles would he/she/they like?


    B: He/she/they’d like …noodles


    (6) Listening


    Before listening, look at the picture and tell what kinds of noodles are there in the picture.


    ①.Listen and check the noodles that the person orders.


    ②Listen and repeat.


    ③Pair work.


    (7). Role-play


    We are in a noodle house in China. Please order noodles you like. Make up a new dialogue with your partner. You should use our target language in this part.Then make a survey and a report.


    Ⅴ.Homework


    1.Please cook a bowl of noodles for your parents when you get home


    2.Ask your parents about what and where they would like to eat.
